Spend any amount of time at Port City and you are bound to hear the phrase "finding your next step." This isn’t by accident, but something done completely on purpose. The reason this phrase appears so often comes from our desire to see people move from being spectators to participants in the life of the body. Rather than just showing up and taking everything in, we want you to understand how your walk with God is impacted when you take that step towards being involved in community and service.
At PC3, we believe that every person is looking for a place where they can ENCOUNTER God, be FORMED in His image and EXPRESS His love to others. This is the heart behind all the environments you see here. From struggles of addiction and grief to strained marriage relationships and financial issues, we provide care for individuals who are in search of hope, encouragement and biblical guidance for the difficult situations they might be facing. For those that have questions and doubts about God, Starting Point is a place where you can ask those questions you have about spiritual issues. If you have started a walk with God and want to know what to do next, Step2 will help you develop spiritual habits sure to give you greater confidence in your pursuit of Him. The next step for you might involve making a public declaration of your newfound faith through the act of baptism.
Small Groups, the foundation upon which PC3 is built, are where most people experience real life change as they are able to process the truths of God and to live life together. As one begins to have God’s character formed in them, they start to discover the places where their interests and abilities intersect. It is only natural to want serve others and share with them the hope you have in Jesus Christ. Volunteering and missions is where we fulfill the mission of reaching people and helping them walk with God, not only here at PC3 and in Wilmington, but throughout the world.
