How do I get involved?

Do you only use professional musicians?
The best answer to this question is "Yes" and "No". Port City Community Church pursues excellence in everything that it does and the musicians and music ministry are no different. We try very hard to not have to contract musicians from outside of the church. We desire that all of the musicians and vocalists be active members of the church body. All of the musicians have a professional attitude and a high proficiency on their respective instruments, and where as some of them play music for a living most of them work 9-5 Monday – Friday and when they aren't playing or singing on Sunday morning can usually be found volunteering in some other capacity within the church.
Do you guys have a CD?
Yes as a matter of fact we do. You can pick it up at the resource table, which is located in the lobby, before and after every service.
Who writes the songs y'all sing?
Many different people... Some are members of Port City Community Church some aren't. Click the Music Last Week link and you will see the names of the songs that were played on that given Sunday and who wrote them.
Why do you refer to Tom Shafer as "College"?
One needs only be around Tom for a short amount of time to answer this question for themselves...
Does Sean use 17" Hi Hats?
Hmmm... Well he did once, and I believe even he will concede that it was a bad idea.
More to Come!!
