Masses of people have suffered and died during the many years of war and related violence in Sudan. Port City’s involvement in Sudan began as financial support for rebuilding, physical relief, and evangelistic efforts in two areas in Southern Sudan. Later, Port City teams began forging relationships with residents of a village near the Darfur border. Short-term teams have conducted medical clinics, and have helped train pastors and other workers in Bible storytelling.
To support this village’s outreach to nearby displaced Darfurians, Port City has provided Bibles, mosquito nets, medicines for their animals, and other basic supplies.
Through the local workers and Connecting Lives International Mission, PC3 currently helps in the operation of this village’s medical clinic, and supports the village’s efforts to care for a group of orphans by helping provide food, clothing, and education.
