Cary S. is PC3’s missionary serving in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In partnering with a ministry called ACT (AIDS Care and Treatment), she is working to address the social, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of families that are affected by HIV/AIDS. Her role involves a range of ministry facets, including working with coordination orphan care, overseeing tutoring programs, trauma and crisis management, and facilitating support groups. She is working alongside community health workers and ACT staff to care and monitor individual cases with the primary goal of providing holistic care within a Christ-centered community that demonstrates Jesus’ love for his children. Pray for Cary’s physical and spiritual health, and for fruitful ministry. Andrea and McKenzie D. are long-term missionaries with Pioneers Mission Agency. They are serving in a city called Trieste, which is found in the northeast of Italy. They are leading a church-planting and development ministry, which strives to transmit the message of the gospel relevantly and effectively for the lives of local people. PC3 considers it a privilege to be part of sending this couple out as missionaries. Pray for open doors and hearts as the D.'s continue raising support; pray for wisdom and discernment in their ministry in Italy; pray for the people in Trieste to have open hearts to receive the message; and pray that the local church leadership in Trieste will continue to strengthen. The E.'s are a family of four who have moved to Trieste, Italy, to serve alongside the D.'s in the formation of a new church. They are working in partnership with Italian Ministries. As the E.'s engage in the local culture and invest in relationships with others, their hope is to share the love of Christ while helping to build up this a community of believers who will reach people in Trieste with the Gospel. Pray for this family to adjust well to Italian culture and a new home; pray for opportunities to develop relationships; pray for wisdom and faith as they take their next steps; pray for Italians to encounter the love of God. The A.'s are serving in Kandern, Germany with Wycliffe Associates. Mike, Alice and Ian are living in Kandern while Emily continues her studies at UNC Wilmington. Mike serves as the Assistant Director to Eurasia Area. His responsibility is building relationships with partnered groups in 72 countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. In helping these businesses with accounting, legal matters, labor recruiting, and the coordination of all non-translation activities, the businesses will be even more strategically positioned to meet the needs for which they were intended. The purpose of these efforts is to ultimately help support Wycliffe Bible Translators in the acceleration of their Bible translations for the many unreached peoples who do not have God's word in their own language. God prepared the A.'s for this opportunity through Mike and Alice's work experiences, as well as Mike's fluency in German. Pray for this family's transition to a new country and culture; pray for meaningful connections among the various businesses the A.'s encounter and work with; pray for God to be glorified in all the work that is being done.
