In August 2005 Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast destroying thousands of homes and other structures. Hoping to help, several individuals from PC3 signed on separately to serve with another organization experienced in disaster relief. On this mission, all those from PC3 met, thus began PC3’s disaster relief efforts. Beginning in January 2006, approximately every other month PC3 teams have completed week-long missions in Biloxi, Mississippi – cleaning up, rebuilding, encouraging, and sharing Christ. Some of the original team members have continued to be the momentum behind these efforts. We have partnered with two churches in Biloxi - LeMoyne Boulevard Baptist Church and Big Ridge Baptist Church – to help rebuild this portion of the Gulf Coast. These churches have been the core of rebuilding their communities and have, through these efforts, been salt and light in Biloxi.To date, our domestic missions have centered around disaster relief. We strive to be ready to serve others when disasters strike in the US.

Go/Serve
In 2008, each of the two churches we serve alongside is committed to building 5 new homes. Skilled laborers are needed however unskilled laborers are also needed and appreciated. Check out opportunities to participate in our short term missions in Biloxi.
From time to time there are opportunities to serve during natural disasters in other areas. These will be announced and posted as opportunities arise.
