Port City Community Church has organized a ministry called HOPE 127 to connect people of the church to its various missions. HOPE stands for "Helping Other People Everywhere." The 127 refers to James 1:27—"Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us."
The team's first project, The Kenya Project, was designed to work with Pastor Jackson Mwangi and develop a sponsorship program for orphans and street children now living at Mama Hellen's Rehabilitation Center in Nakuru, Kenya. In the future, HOPE 127 will be working to connect PC3 people with other projects.
As our mission statement says, HOPE 127 exists to link people of PC3 to groups of people in need so that all may walk with God.
Please join HOPE 127 in making a difference!
