Building Update

September 16, 2008

We are in the building!  The first services at 250 Vision Drive were on July 20, 2008 in our new facility.  Our service times have remained at 8:30am, 10:30am and 12:30pm on Sundays.

Things have been going really well since we moved the operations of the church under one roof.  Our staff has settled into our office wing and we are very grateful for our new spaces for both offices and ministry events!   As you can imagine, the staff is really excited that we can spend less time on Sundays setting up and breaking down as a mobile church and more time investing in volunteers and getting to know new people!

Average attendance has increased by about 1200 people since the move to Vision Drive! The average attendance for the first 7 weeks at Vision Drive is 4692 (including adults and children).  Our 10:30am service is at full capacity and there is room to grow at the 8:30am and 12:30pm services.

Yes, we still have a wooded area that we park cars in — just like at Roland-Grise!  At the 8:30 and 10:30 services, we are filling up our 600 paved parking spots and overflowing into the wooded area on the other side of Vision Drive.  During the 10:30 service, we are parking about 300 cars in the woods!

Our Next Steps Building Fund continues in operation as we pay down the loan on the new facility.  Currently we have borrowed $13 million of the roughly $18 million required for the project from the Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU).  This means we have paid approximately $5 million to date toward the project in cash!  If you would like to contribute toward our building fund above and beyond your regular tithe, you may send a check to PC3 with “Building Fund” written in the memo line.  We are paying our monthly mortgage from our General Funds and plan to use Building Fund contributions to pay down our loan and for our additional land and parking.

Please enjoy some pictures below from our first Sunday!
