Building Update

June 12, 2008

In the June Building update, we have a new schedule to share. Our original “first service” date of July 6 has been delayed two weeks to July 20. Construction is moving along very well and the two additional weeks was needed to have everything complete by the time we start services at Cardinal Drive. Here is the newly updated schedule:

6/15 and 6/22 - joint Mayfaire/Roland-Grise services at Roland-Grise (8:30, 10:30, 12:30)

6/29 - last joint service @ Roland-Grise, 4 services (8:30, 10:30, 12:30, 2:30)

7/6 - orientation for current volunteers at 250 Vision Drive - NO SUNDAY SERVICES

7/13 - open house at 250 Vision Drive, come within an hour after the service time you attend (8:30, 10:30, 12:30) - NO SUNDAY SERVICES

7/20 - first ever Sunday services at 250 Vision Drive (8:30, 10:30, 12:30)

As far as the construction goes, things are looking great! The Grow Zone wing is almost completely done! A large mural is being painted along the Grow Zone hallway and it looks very good! The auditorium and breakout rooms for Tsunami, Ripple Effect and Overflow are almost finished as well. Sound and lighting equipment is being installed in this auditorium as well as the Treasure Island auditorium.

The counters for the information center for the main auditorium have been installed as you can see below:

The bathrooms are almost finished, carpeting is almost complete and almost all of the ceiling tiles have been installed. Final electrical work is being done as well as paining. Office cubicles should be delivered this week and if you have driven by, you can see that the landscaping is looking amazing!

The auditorium is looking more complete each day. Tile has been installed where the seats will go and carpet will be installed in the aisles soon.

We hope to see everyone at the Open House on July 13. Be sure to invite your friends, family, and co-workers too! The staff is very excited and we hope you are too!
