Refuge is designed to help those who are struggling with a variety of different addictions, including: drugs/alcohol, pornography, cutting, and eating disorders. In each of these areas, our goal is to direct you to the hope that can be found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Refuge ministry provides small groups and one-to-one mentoring as options to help you in your walk with God as you break free from your addiction. The Refuge small groups are Christ-centered, grace-driven, redemptive and intentional. Through His grace and redemption we encourage one another to live our lives in a manner that is pleasing to God. The groups go beyond addictions, as the addiction is not the focus of the group, it is simply the common ground in which the groups were built.
Intentional community is the promise that is kept among everyone in the group; each member of the community is not there for themselves but for what they can give to support each other. We believe that God in his mercy has given us the Body in order to help spur one another along.
According to Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Community is God's ever-present way of revealing Himself to His people. Through a community of believers, you can find refuge in God.
